After the flame

When the flame is gone, the vessel is not. Clean it out, add soil and seed, and let something grow.

Fire, earth, water, air. That is the whole Hartisans cycle. We pour a label-free ceramic so you are not fighting a sticker when the wax is finished.

Stop burning at about a half inch. Do not cook the vessel dry.
Set the jar in a warm place — a sunny sill, or a warm (not boiling) water bath — until the last soy softens.
Wipe the wax out with paper. Cotton wicks and tabs come out with it.
Wash with warm water and a little soap. Soy is not a tar.
Dry it. Add pebbles if you want drainage, then soil, then a cutting or seed.

You can also keep matches in it, or a handful of sea glass, or nothing. A quiet jar on a shelf is still a better end than a trash can.

Do not pour liquid wax down a drain. It will set in the pipe the way it sets in the vessel.
