Why soy candles frost
A white bloom on soy is the wax being soy. We do not fight it with dye. We tell you what it is.
Soy frosting looks like a faint white film or a crystalline map on the surface or up the wall of the vessel. It is common in 100% soy. Temperature swings on the way from Durango to your table can bring it out. So can a cool room after a burn.
It does not change the oil. It does not mean the candle is old or unsafe. Paraffin shops hide it with dye and additives. We would rather you see the material.
When to write us
- Deep wet spots that will not even after a proper first burn.
- A wick that will not stay lit, or heavy smoke after a trim.
- A cracked vessel or wax that leaked in transit — send a photo. We replace those.
We do not add dye to hide frosting. The color you see is the vessel, not the wax.

- Is frosting a defect?
- No. It is a natural look of soy wax. The scent and the burn are the same.
